General Chapter 2012

Today our Prior, Fr. Cadoc and Br. Stephen began the journey to De Pere for the General Chapter of our Order. Please join us in praying for their safe journey (and safe return!) and for a fruitful chapter for the whole Order.

Prayer for the General Chapter

Almighty Father, we thank you for the gift of the Norbertine Order and for all the things you have done for us, both now and in the past from our beginnings at Prémontré. Father, we come to you with a special prayer on the occasion of the General Chapter 2012 in De Pere, Wisconsin. Guide us in our planning activities, inspire us in our preparation work, fill our hearts and minds with your presence. Show us the way we should go. Help us to work together to build a world-wide Order full of love, passion and endeavour for your people. May this important assembly of our Order be like a new DAY OF PENTECOST, filled with the Holy Spirit, enlightened with His inspiration and fire, supported by His presence and love, through the intercession of Saint Augustine and Saint Norbert. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son who lives and reigns with you and the same Holy Spirit, one God for ever and ever. Amen.
