Pierre-Adrien Toulorge: A Premonstratensian with Backbone

We are pleased to announce that a new publication on the life, witness and martyrdom of Fr. Pierre-Adrien Toulorge o.praem. is now available from the postulator of our Order.
British readers will note that the future beatus is connected to our own isles. Jersey, in the Channel Islands, hosted the exiled Fr. Toulorge after his escape from revolutionary persecution. Moreover our own monarchs have held the title 'Duke of Normandy' since 1066 and thus we retain a special connexion to Fr. Toulorge's homeland. In this year of the beatification it is especially fitting that we also celebrate 60 years of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Duke of Normandy (the title remains 'duke' regardless of the gender of the sovereign).
